Stuck on Stain? Here's What to Do!

Whether doing the laundry is something you enjoy or not, it is a fact of life. And so are stains! So here's a how to tackle some of the most common laundry stains:

Adhesives:
Very difficult to remove once dry. Pick off excess, saturate with Dominant Liquid Pre-Wash Spray, allow to act for 10 mins, before laundering.

Beetroot:
For best results, immediately rinse under cold water, and wash if fresh. Old stains may require soaking in Dominant Booster & Soak in warm to hot water.

Blood:
For fresh stains rinse with cold water, then soak in Dominant Booster & Soak in cold water for at least 30 minutes. Then wash in a laundry detergent of your choice.
For old set stains, soak in Dominant Booster & Soak in warm water for at least a couple of hours, before laundering. As they are typical more difficult to remove, hot water washing may be required for very stubborn stains, or repeated soaking and washing.

Butter/Fat/Oil/Grease:
Treat with Dominant Pre-Wash Spray and leave for 10 mins, before washing in warm to hot water.

Chewing Gum:
Place garment in freezer or dab with ice cubes to harden chewing gum. Then scrape off as much as possible, before applying Dominant Pre-wash Spray. Leave for at least 10 minutes to act, before laundering in warm water

Coffee/Cocoa:
Rinse with water, then soak in Dominant Booster & Soak in warm to hot water before laundering.

Cosmetics:
Treat with Dominant Pre-Wash Spray and leave for 10 mins, before washing in warm water.

Curry:
The turmeric in curry powder is mainly responsible for the yellow stain. Treat promptly by soaking in Dominant Booster & Soak in warm to hot water.

Faeces:
Remove solid matter then soak in Dominant Booster & Soak in warm water before laundering.

Grass/Flowers:
Treat with Dominant Pre-Wash Spray and leave for 10 mins, before washing in warm water. Stubborn stains may require soaking in Dominant Booster & Soak in warm to hot water for a couple of hours before washing.

Mildrew:
Soak in Dominant Booster & Soak in warm to hot water - if possible overnight (if fabric can sustain it) before laundering. Bad mildew stains may require soaking in a chlorine bleach solution, but again only if the fabric is bleachable.

Mud/Clay:
Allow to dry and brush off excess. Then wash with a Dominant laundry detergent of your choice, using a higher then usual dose. Alternatively, if using a laundry powder, simply add a scoop of Dominant Booster & Soak in with it.

Paint/Vanish:
Paints are notoriously difficult to remove. Therefore treat as soon as possible. If fresh, saturate water-based paints with water, and solvent-based paints with mineral turpentine. For dried-on paints, treat with Dominant Liquid Pre-wash Spray. Leave at least 10 minutes before laundering.

Perspiration:
Treat with Dominant Pre-Wash Spray and leave for 10 mins, then wash.

Wine:
Treat with Dominant Pre-Wash Spray and leave for 10 mins, before washing in warm water.
